Terms of Service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Welcome to Plastic Surgery Local. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at plasticsurgerylocal.com (the "Service"), operated by Plastic Surgery Local ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Three things to know before you read on. (1) We are a directory and connection service, not a medical provider — everything that happens between you and a provider is between you and that provider (section 5). (2) The Service is for adults 18 and over only (section 11). (3) Section 20 requires most disputes with us to go to individual arbitration and waives class actions — you may opt out within 30 days, and it never limits your rights against a provider.
1. What Plastic Surgery Local is — and is not
Plastic Surgery Local is a directory and connection platform. We help you discover aesthetic providers (plastic surgeons, clinics, and med spas) near a ZIP code, read patient education, view provider profiles, and send appointment or consultation requests to providers you choose.
We are not a medical provider. We do not practice medicine, employ the providers listed, or supervise any care. Using the Service does not create a doctor–patient relationship with us. All medical care, advice, and treatment decisions happen between you and the provider you select — and any agreement for services is between you and that provider, not with us.
2. Not medical advice
Everything published on the Service — patient guides, insurance information, travel guidance, procedure descriptions — is general education, not medical, legal, or insurance advice. Always consult a qualified, licensed provider about your specific situation. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
3. Provider listings and credentials
- Listing information comes from providers themselves and from public sources. We encourage verification, but a listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any provider's qualifications, quality, or results.
- What "Verified" means, precisely. A "Verified" badge means only this: at the time we reviewed the listing, we confirmed that a professional licence or NPI record matching the practice existed and appeared active, and that the listing's basic contact details were consistent with public sources. It is not a clinical assessment. We do not evaluate a provider's skill, judgment, training, complication history, malpractice history, disciplinary record, outcomes, or suitability for you or your procedure. We do not re-check records continuously, and a record can change after we look. Treat the badge as a starting point for your own verification, never as a substitute for it.
- Listing tiers (Verified, Partner, Featured) describe what a provider has paid for in listing placement and software features — they are not a medical-quality rating, a ranking of competence, or a statement that one provider is better than another. Search ordering is mechanical: it reflects listing tier, distance from your search location, and review volume. It is never a clinical recommendation, and we never tell you which provider is right for your case.
- Verify credentials yourself: board certification at abplasticsurgery.org and license status with the state medical board. Our patient guides show you how.
4. Appointment and consultation requests
- When you submit an appointment request, we forward it to the practice you selected (including by text message and email) and relay their response back to you.
- A request is not a confirmed appointment until the practice confirms it. Practices control their own schedules, pricing, and policies.
- Provide accurate contact information; we and the practice will use it to respond to your request.
- We pass messages; we do not participate in them. Where we relay a request or a practice's reply, we act only as a delivery channel. We do not review, verify, edit, endorse, or advise on what either side says, and we do not join the conversation.
5. We are not a party to your relationship with a provider
Plastic Surgery Local is an introduction and connection service. Our role ends when you and a provider are connected. We are not a party to, and accept no responsibility or liability for, anything that happens between you and a provider before, during, or after that introduction.
Specifically, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- Any communication, conversation, correspondence, call, text, message, or meeting between you and a provider, their office staff, their contractors, or anyone else at or associated with a practice — whether it began through the Service or anywhere else.
- Anything said, promised, quoted, recommended, advised, or represented to you by a provider, their staff, or any other person — including statements about pricing, financing, availability, credentials, techniques, risks, recovery, or expected results.
- Any consultation, examination, procedure, treatment, aftercare, or outcome — including complications, dissatisfaction with results, revision needs, injury, or death.
- Any decision you make about whether, when, where, or from whom to seek treatment.
- The conduct of any person you encounter through the Service, whether or not they are a licensed professional, and whether their conduct is professional, unprofessional, negligent, or unlawful.
- Any agreement, contract, payment, deposit, refund, financing arrangement, or dispute between you and a provider.
- Scheduling, cancellations, no-shows, wait times, or a provider's failure to respond at all.
Providers are independent. They are not our employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers, and we do not supervise, direct, control, or have the right to control how they practice, who they accept, what they charge, or how they or their staff communicate. You select your provider using your own judgment, and you assume the risks of that selection. If something goes wrong with a provider, your recourse is against that provider.
6. Automated assistance on the Service
Parts of the Service use automated tools, including AI, to help you search and to answer general questions on a provider's profile. These tools are automated, are not the practice, are not a person, and do not give medical advice. They can be incomplete or wrong, including about services, pricing, and availability — only the practice can confirm those. Nothing an automated tool produces is a recommendation that you see a particular provider or have a particular procedure, and it never creates a doctor–patient relationship.
7. How we are paid
We are paid by providers for listing placement and access to our software, as a flat, published subscription fee, and by flat fees set in advance for optional promotional placements. We are not paid per patient, per lead, per booking, or as any share or percentage of what a patient pays a provider. Our fees do not change based on whether you contact a provider, book with them, or receive treatment. Paying us more does not make a provider better, and does not change review content or ratings — it changes only where and how prominently their listing appears, which we disclose.
8. Virtual consultations
Virtual consultations are not currently offered through the platform. Some providers offer them directly through their own practices; any such consultation is arranged between you and that provider, under their own professional licence, and is not booked or billed by us. If we offer virtual consultations through the platform in the future, the fees, cancellation and refund terms, and any compensation arrangement between us and the provider will be disclosed before you book.
9. Reviews
- Reviews must describe your own genuine, first-hand experience with the provider. No fake, paid, incentivized, or second-hand reviews.
- Reviews are moderated before publication. We may decline or remove reviews that violate these Terms, contain personal attacks or private health details about others, or that we reasonably believe are not genuine.
- Providers cannot pay us to add, remove, or alter reviews or ratings. Listing tiers never change review content.
10. Content you submit
You keep ownership of content you submit (reviews, questions, photos). By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content within the Service to operate and promote it. Only submit what is yours to share, and don't include another person's private information without their consent.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to our designated agent at dmca@plasticsurgerylocal.com, or by mail to: DMCA Agent, Camden Ventures AZ, PO Box 18902, Fountain Hills, AZ 85269. Include the material at issue and where it appears, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, and your signature. We remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.
11. Adults only — no services to or about minors
The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. Do not use it if you are under 18, and do not use it to submit information about anyone under 18.
- You must be at least 18 to use the Service, submit an appointment or consultation request, post a review, or create an account.
- Do not submit any information about a minor — including a minor's name, age, photograph, location, condition, or treatment needs — through any part of the Service, whether about yourself or anyone else.
- We do not knowingly collect information from or about anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
- We do not operate a charitable-care, financial-assistance, or case-matching program, and we do not accept applications for one. Any earlier version of these Terms describing such a program is withdrawn.
- If you believe a minor's information has been submitted to us, tell us at support@plasticsurgerylocal.com and we will delete it.
12. Text messages and email
If you submit a request with your phone number, you consent to receive appointment-related text messages and emails from us and the practice you contacted. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts; opting out may limit our ability to relay appointment updates.
13. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it, or access it in unauthorized ways.
- Don't post unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content, and don't impersonate anyone.
- Providers may not misrepresent credentials, experience, or affiliations in their listings.
- You must be at least 18 to use the Service (see section 11).
14. Accounts
Some features (such as provider dashboards) require an account. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and tell us about any unauthorized use.
15. Intellectual property
The Service, including our guides, design, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes; don't copy or republish it without permission.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that listings are complete or error-free, that any provider will respond, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Your use of any provider's services is at your own judgment and risk — choose carefully, using the verification steps in our guides.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any claim arising from care provided (or not provided) by a listed provider.
This includes, without limitation, any claim arising from or relating to: any communication or interaction between you and a provider, their staff, or any other person; anything said or represented to you by any of them; any consultation, procedure, treatment, aftercare, outcome, injury, or death; any payment, contract, or dispute with a provider; and your selection of, or reliance on, any provider or listing. These are matters between you and the provider, as described in section 5.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; where a limitation is unenforceable, it applies to the fullest extent permitted.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
19. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will change and continued use means acceptance. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms.
20. Dispute resolution — arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. It requires most disputes with us to be resolved by individual arbitration rather than in court, and waives your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. It does not apply to any claim you have against a provider — your rights against a provider are unaffected by these Terms.
- Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, email support@plasticsurgerylocal.com describing the dispute and the relief you want. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days. Either of us may then proceed.
- Arbitration. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, seated in Maricopa County, Arizona, or by remote hearing at your election. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
- Class-action waiver. Disputes will be brought only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim — and only that claim — is severed and proceeds in court; the rest remains in arbitration.
- Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or stop unauthorized access to the Service.
- Your right to opt out. You may reject this arbitration and class-waiver section by emailing support@plasticsurgerylocal.com with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out," including your name and the email you use with the Service, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out affects nothing else in these Terms, and we will not treat it as a reason to limit your use of the Service.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 20 (arbitration), any dispute not required to be arbitrated will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions stay in force.
